On Saturday December 15, we released our latest set of bi-monthly updates for our entire product range, including build .7 of Chrome and DevStudio and build .27 of Data Abstract, RemObjects SDK, Internet Pack and Hydra. Like last year, we have moved ahead our usual end-of-month schedule by two weeks to accommodate for the holidays.

The December releases are the second of three releases that focus on improved product quality, and we've concentrated entirely on addressing outstanding and newly reported issues, rather than adding new features, and we will continue doing the same for the upcoming February release, with new features planned for April.

Our products have grown substantially with the last major releases this past summer, and we found it to be important to not just keep adding new features, but to let the product settle and mature for a few releases, with a stable feature set and effort going into addressing known issues and rounding off the features that are already there. Of course, this does not mean that development on new features has stopped: for the RemObjects Framework, we have great new stuff in the works, both for subsequent ‘Vinci’ releases starting April as well as for version Six later in 2008; and for Chrome, those of you with a  Future  subscription already have access to some of the cool new language enhancements that are coming for ‘Oxygène’.

The new December releases are available for download now, both as free trials and for licensed users.
