Two research projects are currently under way in the RemObjects Software Labs to provide clean 100% Java client implementation of RemObjects SDK (Codename “White Lodge”) and Data Abstract (Codename “Black Lodge”).

“White Lodge” and “Black Lodge” are being implemented with “Cooper“ and will allow developers to create fully native Java applications targetting both “regular” Java and Android's Dalvik runtime.

Like all editions of Data Abstract, this will not be a “port” of the existing platform products – our team is re-engineering RO and DA from the ground up as true Java frameworks that fit in well with the platform and will be easy and intuitive to use by Java developers. At the same time, the frameworks will of course be based on our time-proven core architecture of RemObjects SDK and Data Abstract, and be fully wire compatible with the existing three editions.
