An Open Source Build Script Runner for the Mac

RemObjects Builder

RemObjects Builder is an open source tool to visually run build scripts on Mac OS X.

Born out of the need internally here at RemObjects Software to automate the build tasks for our product line for Mac OS X and iPhone, Builder was developed to take standard shell scripts, but run them in a UI that visually presents the progress, easily allowed partial execution and nesting of scripts, and captures errors.

The goal with RemObjects Builder, at least in it's current incarnation, is not to provide the full scope and power of sophisticated automations solutions such as FinalBuilder on Windows, but to provide an easy and convenient way to run scripts and see their progress and results.

RemObjects Builder was conceived as an open source project, and will become available publicly at code.remobjects.com under a BDS-style license, once it has reached an acceptable "1.0" stage. If you are looking to contribute to Builder beforehand, we encourage you to create a user account on code.remobjects.com and send a mail to support@remobjects.com requesting beta access (whether for contributing, or simply for checking out the project and – hopefully – providing feedback).

More information will be provided here, and on our wiki, once RemObjects Builder is ready for general availability.
In the mean time, read the introductory post on the blogs at blogs.remobjects.com.
